In this 5-part series, sailing writer and charter skipper, Wally Moran tackles his first sail repair project using a Sailrite Ultrafeed LSZ-1 sewing machine. Each year, Wally transits the Intracoastal Waterway from Canada to the Bahamas, and sometimes to Cuba (He's a Canadian - he can!) And along the way, Wally maintains his boat - and now he's doing his own sail repairs and planning some canvas projects too.

The series begins in the Sailrite booth at the U.S. Sailboat Show in Annapolis, MD. With the help of Sailrite's Matt Grant, Wally assess the repairs needed to torn batten and leechline pockets on his mainsail. Matt guides Wally in using the LSZ-1 to repair the batten pocket.

In the next 3 episodes, Wally takes on the leechline repair himself, working outdoors with the LSZ-1 at a local Annapolis marina.

In episode 5, Wally bends on the mainsail, reviews his repairs, and takes his boat out on the creek where he hoists the repaired main for inspection.
