In the opening cruising segment, we sail aboard Bob Bitchin’s Lost Soul from Mexico’s Isla Isabella to Puerto Vallarta. Next, we rejoin the Abbott family aboard their catamaran, Exit Only as they pass through the Bab al-Mandab Strait and enter the Red Sea from the Gulf of Aden. At the Miami Boat Show, Bob checks out the Seafrost refrigeration system that’s available in air-cooled and water-cooled versions. On San Francisco Bay, we join Cruising World Editor, Mark Pillsbury and sailing photographer Billy Black for a test sail aboard a Catalina 445.
